James Aldred

Award winning wildlife cameraman with 20 years experience working for BBC, National Geographic, Disney Nature etc. Trained by the BBC Natural History Unit and specialising in filming from ropes at height in remote locations, I am most at home filming in the rainforest canopy. Long lens animal behaviour, aerial cable-cam systems and rope rigging are my core skills. I've been fortunate to work on many acclaimed productions along the way - including numerous David Attenborough projects such as Life of Mammals, Life in the Undergrowth & Planet Earth. An Emmy recipient, I have also been BAFTA / RTS award nominated several times. Alongside my film work I also present the occasional programme for BBC Radio, and am author of the book The Man Who Climbs Trees published 2017 by Penguin Random House.
