James Ewen is a wildlife cinematographer predominantly working on blue chip natural history films, but with credits in ‘human’ documentary. His experience includes blue chip landmark filming as well as sync filming in some of the most hostile environments on the planet. Based in Norway his experience extends to the high arctic and mountain filming. His technical specialities are long lens work, particularly with challenging animal behaviour, work with periscopes and probes, night filming, and moving cameras whether that be with drones, gimbals or jibs and dollies.
